THE BAY CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT

                The function of the Bay City Fire Department is to protect lives and property within the city from fires, natural or manmade disasters, medical emergencies, and entrapments. The legal authority to carry out these services comes from the City Charter, city ordinances, and the Michigan Fire Prevention Act, which is Michigan Public Act 207 of 1941, as amended. The department is broken down into functional groups to carryout these tasks.

                The Bay City Fire Department...a full time professional fire department, dedicated and working together to effectively provide life safety and property preservation through fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency medical service and other emergency services to all who live, work, and visit our community.

                The Bay City Fire Department will continue to enhance and expand our services to the community while maintaining a high level of professionalism and tradition.
